Our Story
Founded by Algernon and Barbara Lloyd Stamps, our family-owned, community-based restaurant has been a Jackson, Mississippi favorite for decades. Since 1970, we’ve proudly served the Washington Addition neighborhood—originally as a local grocery store and now as a beloved dining destination.
We take pride in offering exceptional food, served quickly and with genuine Southern hospitality. Known for having the best burger in Mississippi, we’re honored to welcome both locals and visitors from near and far to our table.
Our mission is simple: to make every guest feel at home—whether it’s their first visit or their hundredth.
We’re most famous for our award-winning, mouthwatering 11-ounce burger and hand-cut, lemon pepper–seasoned fries. Our menu also features turkey and vegan burgers, a variety of sandwiches (including chicken, bologna, and smoked sausage), fresh garden and grilled chicken salads, and crispy chicken wings.guest with warmth and hospitality, whether it's their first or 100th time dinning with us. We are most famously known for our award winning, mouth watering 11-ounce burger and hand cut lemon pepper seasoned French Fries. Our Scholarship
The Algeron & Barbara Lloyd Stamps scholarship was established at Jackson State University to support the mission of equipping and preparing students to serve professionally, civically and socially. The Stamps scholarship will honor the memory of Algeron Stamps, Sr., the founder and operator of Stamps Super Burgers. Mr. Stamps was a graduate of Jackson State University, and as a past teacher, he believed in education, and often supported endeavors to support students pursuing higher education. This scholarship will provide financial assistance for future business education students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence. The student must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA to qualify for the scholarship. Please join in the effort to endow this scholarship.
