Our Story
Founders, Algernon and Barbara Lloyd Stamps established our family owned, community based restaurant in Jackson Mississippi. We have been local to the community of Washington Addition ever since 1970 when we served as a neighborhood grocery store. We pride ourselves in providing an exceptional product, delivered in a timely manner, with excellent customer service. With the reputation as the best burger in Mississippi, we often host tourists and travelers passing through our great city. It is our mission to welcome every guest with warmth and hospitality, whether it's their first or 100th time dinning with us. We are most famously known for our award winning, mouth watering 11-ounce burger and hand cut lemon pepper seasoned French Fries. We also serve turkey burgers, vegan burgers, different sandwiches(chicken, bologna, smoked sausage), fresh garden salads, grilled chicken salads, and chicken wings.
Our Scholarship
The Algeron & Barbara Lloyd Stamps scholarship was established at Jackson State University to support the mission of equipping and preparing students
to serve professionally, civically and socially.
The Stamps scholarship will honor the memory of Algeron Stamps, Sr., the founder and operator of Stamps Super Burgers. Mr. Stamps was a graduate of Jackson State University, and as a past teacher, he believed in education, and often supported endeavors to support students pursuing higher education. This scholarship will provide financial assistance for future business education students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence.
The student must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA to qualify for the scholarship. Please join in the effort to endow this scholarship. Your tax deductible donation will enable a student to continue their pursuit of a promising future.
